I never thought I'd say this but I've had some of the best times in Ireland ditching the car and hitting the trails, hiking in
the beautiful warm sun, having a picnic and taking lots of great photos of views most people don't see. Whether it's hiking the
Cliffs of Moher or Slieve League
in Donegal, Ireland offers plenty to see and do with nothing more than your own two feet.
Ireland Looped Trails
Currently Ireland has 32 trains around the country and there will be 50 by the end of 2008. Loops range from 1.5 to 4.5 hours from
beginning to end and often link to additional trails for a full-day of hiking.
Additional Ireland Hiking Trails
You'l find more trails across Ireland than the Looped Trails, trails which run through six natinoal parks, 11 forestry reserves
and over 137 routes developed by the Irish Heart Foundation - not to mention the 31 long-distance Waymarked Ways, 60-plus Waterway
Walks, and five Pilgrim Paths. There are walks from easy to moderate and hard.
